Calimero Skype Launcher - English description

It is necessary to have Skype version 4.0 or higher, boht installed and portable version are supported.

1. Download the ZIP file from http://www.candalica.sk/calimero-skype-launcher/,

2. Unzip the file and place unzipped files anywhere on disk, or use self-extracting archive, which will extract all the components of the application into folder of your choice.

 

In the case of portable version of Skype, you can copy the Calimero Skype Launcher into main folder of portable version of Skype, usually at the level of "c:\PortableApps\SkypePortable\SkypePortable.exe.

 

Calimero Skype Launcher consists of 3 components:

1) CalimSkypeLauncherManager allows you setup and enter login data of your Skype accounts,

2) CalimSkypeLauncher starts and logs in set Skype accounts,

3) CalimSkypeQuickAccess allows you easy and instant access to logged in Skype accounts and selected Skype contacts.

 

Calimero Skype Launcher can not be used for the registration of new Skype accounts. The application automatically detects and loads only the existing Skype accounts you have logged in via Skype at least once on the computer.

 

In CalimSkypeLauncherManager tick those Skype accounts which you want to run and fill in their Skype passwords. Application will save these passwords in encrypted form for security reasons.

If you tick the option "Hide Skype contact window after sign in", the main Skype window will close after log in of each account, i.e. hides from the Windows task bar and will remain accessible through the icon displayed in the Windows system tray bar (next to the clock).

If you tick the option "Run CalimSkypeQuickAccess after launching accounts" the application CalimSkypeQuickAccess will be automatically launched after start and log in of all set Skype accounts. CalimSkypeQuickAccess shows after start as an icon in the Windows system tray bar (next to the clock), after its first run it is necessary to confirm in Skype the requst to communicate with the  CalimSkypeQuickAccess (attention, according to Skype settings this request is displayed either as a separate dialog window, or just as a part of the Skype window).

By clicking on the icon of the application CalimSkypeQuickAccess and selection from context menu you can quickly open the main window of any Skype account, or quickly open a message window of any favourite Skype contact to write messages or start a call. For set up and use "favorite contacts" please read the description below. Context menu of CalimSkypeQuickAccess also includes the option "Quit all Skype accounts" for quick general log out and termination of all Skype accounts, the option "Change status of all Skype accounts to" for quick general change of the status of all Skype accounts.

 

 

Special note for users of Windows 7: for correct functionality of the option "Hide Skype contact window after sign in" in CalimSkypeLauncherManager, change the following in the Skype settings: Options -> Advanced -> Keep in Skype taskbar while I'm signed in -> NO (choose NO).

 

 

First of all, in each logged in Skype account create a category "Favorites" and assign to it those contacts you communicate the most frequently.

- In the main Skype window select from the menu: Contacts -> Contact Categories -> See All Contact Categories (by selecting the choice will be ticked),

- Select from the menu: Contacts -> Contact Categories -> Create New Category,

- Name it "Favorites" and confirm,

- Right-click on frequently used contacts and select from the context menu: Add to category and select: Favorites,

- Select from the menu: Contacts -> Contact Categories -> All contacts,

- In the main Skype window select from the menu: Contacts -> Contact Categories -> See All Contact Categories (by selecting the choice will be unticked).

 

After running CalimSkypeQuickAccess and clicking on its icon your logged in Skype accounts will show in the menu. In this menu:

- by clicking on the one of your accounts you can quickly open the main window of that particular Skype account,

- under particular Skype account of yours are showed contacts added to the Favorites category and a mark of their current login status,

- by clicking on a contact you can quickly open a message window to write a Skype message,

- by clicking on a contact while press and hold the CTRL key you can start a Skype call with selected person.
